Emma began dancing at age five. Her most formative performance experience as a child was when she had the opportunity to dance at The Kennedy Center in ABT’s Nutcracker and Le Corsaire, and Ballet West’s Nutcracker. In high school she attended the Academy at Metropolitan School of the Arts, emphasizing in ballet. Here she also began training in acting, voice, musical theater, and other dance forms such as modern, jazz, contemporary, and tap.
During her time there she had the opportunity to perform as Dew Drop in her school’s annual Nutcracker, and Swanhilda in the spring ballet Coppélia. Along with these she performed in the ballets Cinderella and Snow White, and the annual Academy showcases and spring musicals. She has attended summer intensives with Richmond Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, The Washington School of Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Sarasota Ballet, and the University of Utah School of Dance.
She graduated in 2023 with a BFA in Ballet from the University of Utah, and a minor in Creative Writing. Here she also continued to study acting and voice, and in the fall of 2022 she studied Acting for Film abroad in Florence, Italy. During her time in college she performed in Giselle Act II, the Dream Scene from Don Quixote, and José Limón’s A Choreographic Offering, along with the School of Dance showcases. She also appeared as a dancer in the short film Cantaloupe-a-Dopamine. She loves creating and experiencing moving stories that build a strong emotional connection with the audience, bringing people together.
